6. Email and electronic messages
We comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation. We send commercial electronic messages, such as newsletters or service updates, only where you have given express consent or where implied consent is permitted by law, such as an existing business relationship. Every message identifies mitech, includes our contact information and provides an easy way to unsubscribe. We process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
8. Storage outside your province or Canada
Our service providers may store or process personal information outside your province or outside Canada, including in the United States. While in another jurisdiction, your information is subject to that jurisdiction's laws and may be accessed by its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities.
We take reasonable steps, including contractual safeguards, to protect your information when it is transferred. Where Quebec law applies, we assess the protection your information will receive before it is communicated outside Quebec.
10. How we protect your information
We protect personal information with safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including physical measures such as restricted access to offices and equipment, organizational measures such as limiting access to staff who need it for their work, and technical measures such as passwords, encryption and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Privacy breaches
If a breach of security safeguards involving personal information under our control creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and report the breach to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as soon as feasible, as required by PIPEDA. Where Quebec law applies, we will also notify the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec. We keep a record of every breach of security safeguards involving personal information.
12. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only as long as needed to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Where we use personal information to make a decision about you, we keep it long enough for you to request access to it. When it is no longer needed, we securely destroy it or make it anonymous.

We will respond within 30 days, or tell you within that time if we need an extension as permitted by law. Access requests are free of charge, or subject to a minimal fee that we will tell you about in advance. If we cannot provide access to some information, we will explain why, subject to legal restrictions.
14. Children and minors
Our Website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children or minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we have done so, we will delete it.
